About ADV7625/ADV7626/ADV7627 settings for 297MHz

Thread Summary

The user inquired about the function of specific settings (0x58, 0x98-0x9B) for processing 4K30Hz (297MHz) video with the ADV7627, and whether these settings should be reset to default for other input formats. The final answer indicates that most settings are documented in the software manual, but some 'ADI recommended writes' are not publicly documented. It is advised to run the appropriate script for the incoming video format.

Hi,

I am working on processing 4K30Hz(297MHz) video at ADV7627.

It is under development based on "ADV7625-26-27_Ver1.0.txt" at this URL.

Is it possible to know what each of the following settings does?

Also, should I change the value back to default if the source is no longer 297MHz?

→ ADV7625-26-27_Ver1.0.txt

→ 03-04 ADV7625/26/27 HDMI Rx2 Configuration - input TMDS Clock equal to 297MHz

→ 0x58(Rx2) - 0x98~0x9B

Best Regards,

Kato

Most of the setting definitions can be found in the software manual however there are some writes that are marked 'ADI recommended write'.  These are really required writes and are not publicly documented.

Normally you need to run the correct script based on the incoming format.
