Would like to know about Gain using SYNC-ON-GREEN INPUT

Hi , 
 I would like to know about analog input Absolute max for RAIN/GAIN/BAIN/SOGIN as the datasheet states VD - 0.0V 
 When we use SYNC-ON-GREEN INPUT as per Figure 8 the input will be negative input in this case the Absolute maxium rating as well as the rating on Table 4 0.0 V to 1.0 V . 
 Could you please let me know with regards to the rating on RAIN/GAIN/BAIN/SOGIN and the absolute rating for these pins . 
 I do understand this device is not recommended for new devices.

The AD9887 self biases its input therefore the need for the DC blocking caps as shown in figure 8. The absolute rating is there just to indicate these pins will not exceed the ratings as long as the input Vp-p <= 1.0V)
