[ADV7189] I2C communication Not reponding at specific LOT.

Question

Hi, I'm looking forward to get some help. 
 Our video processing modules are using ADV7189, and this solution used for more than 10 years for mission critical solution. 
 But for these days, we are suffering from I2C responding error while boot session. 
 Have you ever get reported about fake component or failed lot around 2020~2022 ?

Hi, 
 Could you please ensure with below things, 
 1.Ensure Reset and Power-down pins are controlled during I2C communication 2.Make sure the power rails are good 3.Make sure the device is out of reset and the reset goes high after both power rails are stable. 4.Make sure SDA and SCL signals are going to the right pins. 5.Verify the pull up resistors on SDA and SCL as per reference schematic. 6.Verify the SDA and SCK signals wiggle and are the right amplitude. 7.Check to see if you can access anything else tied to the I2C bus, like eeprom. Tie something to the bus to make sure the bus is working as expected. 
 Also check I2C software routines expect 7-bit addresses or 8-bit addresses. Below is a good application please note on that: 7-bit, 8-bit, and 10-bit I2C Slave Addressing &ndash; Total Phase
