CVBS -> ? -> HDMI RX (i.MX8)

Category: Datasheet/Specs
Product Number: ADV7511

How to digitize an analog video signal (CVBS) to HDMI?

Idea: CVBS -> ADV7182AWBCPZ (8 Bit TTL) -> ADV7511 (HDMI out) -> i.MX8 (only HDMI RX is free to use!)

A search on the analog side showed that the ADV7511 could be suitable.

However, from the fact sheet I cannot see if the ADV7511 with 8 bit 4:2:2 input can generate an HDMI frame.

Can you organize us a datasheet for this device ADV7511?

Other ideas?

Check out the ADV7850 or ADV7842-ADV7511 combo.  They both can convert CVBS to HDMI

  • Many thanks. I need the full datasheet of ADV7511. Can the ADV7511 generate a HDMI frame with 8 bit 4:2:2 input?

    The ADV7511 can output 8 bit 422.  Basically the ADV7511 is a parallel to serial converter, what goes in comes out and you control the input timing.  The full datasheet can be found here:

  • I could not find the full datasheet on  ADV7511 Design Support Files . Only the short form datasheet. Same for the ADV7511W. For automotive applications the ADV7511W must be used?
