I am in need of circuit and latest DAC chip from ADV to convert a HDMI to HD-SDI or SDI ( Coaxial or Composite video )
I have a circuit for converting HDMI to VGA using ADV7513 which inturn will be converted to SDI using another circuit . But this process will be complex than i thought , so I am requesting you to send a circuit diagram for converting HDMI to SDI using latest ADV chip as I could purchase from Analog Devices to finish the design .
ADI does not have any direct HDMI to SDI converter. I would look at one of the ADV7612 family of devices along with a digitial to SDI converter. The are several manufacturers like Semtech that make these chips.
Ya I too know that , as I need to design a PCB with the conversion I cannot go for a product .
And I got a circuit to change HDMI to SDI thru one of the question in the forum , but I am not sure if that works .
HDMI to COMPOSITE Converter
( p.s - you have interacted in this question )
Unfortunately we don't have a specific HDMI to SDI solution I could point you to, either chip or PCB
Yeah Okay I admit it , is it possible to use the circuit diagram in this link to convert HDMI to composite video ?
HDMI to ?COMPOSITE Converter
or it needs some correction
In general the HDMI converter can convert the incoming stream in any color space to an output digital stream of any color space and any bus format. It cannot convert format timing. The digital stream can be converted to an analog composite output. Again the timing will remain the same.
I suggest defining the exact input format and what you want the output format to be, Sketch up what you think would be the best solution would be and I can review it.
