Is HDCP_REPT_EDID_RESET need for ADV7626's initialization?

I'm Japanese Engineer.

I input source with HDCP to RxA as ADV7626. If I select RxA, Tx is no signal or unstable rarely.

But I operate 『HDCP_REPT_EDID_RESET』 for ADV7626's initialization, Tx is stable while selecting source with HDCP.

※HDCP_REPT_EDID_RESET Rx_Main-0x5A[3]

This problem is happen specific individual ADV7626. (1/100~1/200)

I don't know which is cause of this problem are hardware is not good (e.g. state of the solder )or HDCP_REPT_EDID_RESET is need.

Is HDCP_REPT_EDID_RESET need for ADV7626's initialization?

Please give me some advice.

Best regards.

  • Hi,

Please check ADV7625 software driver which is available at  Advantiv EVAL-ADV7625-SMZ Video Evaluation Board  So that you can get clear understanding about where our software sets this HDCP_REPT_EDID_RESET bit.

    Note:

E-EDID/repeater controller is reset when the DVDD supplies go low or when HDCP_REPT_EDID_RESET is set to 1. When the E-EDID/repeater controller reboots, it performs the following tasks:
    • Clears the internal E-EDID and KSV RAM (refer to the E-EDID/Repeater Controller section and the HDCP Registers Available in Repeater Map section)
    • Computes a total of seven checksums for all four ports
    • Updates the SPA registers (refer to the SPA Configuration section)

    Thanks,
