About AP1_OUT of ADV7625

Hi.

Please tell me about ADV7625.

I set the AP1_OUT port pins individually using the tristate_ap1_out_x [7:0] control register.

I'd like to use the AP1_OUT4 port, but the port couldn't communicate as I2S data.

The AP1_OUT port 0 and 1 were working as I2S data and I could measure their waveform.

Could you help me?

    Thank you for your answer.

    I checked out I2S mode for AP1_OUT4 port but I didn't confirm the waveform as I2s data.

    I understand that Tristate AP1_OUT[4] pin should be '0' in register.

    Which device address is 00 or EC?

    I executed in the following steps.

    ①used script file (ADV7625-26-27_Ver1.0)

    ②selected HDMI Splitter Mode 

    ③set Tristate AP1_OUT_X

    ④set I2S out mode

  • Hi,

       Are you asking about IO map address right? If so, It is 0xB0..

       Please note When the ALSB pin is held low, the I2C address of the IO Map is '0xB0'. When the ALSB pin is held high, the I2C address of the IO Map is '0xB2'.

    Hi.

    No, I'm asking about HDMI RX1 Main Map address.

    I think that I2S out mode is in HDMI RX Main Map.

     

    I understand the ALSB pin is held low or high.

    I tried to set I2S out mode and Tristate AP1_OUT_X several times

    but only AP1_OUT_[0] and [1] were working as I2S data.

    I think the mode and  AP1_OUT port setting is valid but I can't confirm the waveform

    that AP1_OUT_[2]~[4] as I2S data.

  • Hi,

     HDMI RX1 Main map address is '0x68', So you can configure like "68 03 Register value[6:5]".

    Please refer below I2C map address for HDMI_Rx1/Rx2.

     B0 EC 68 ; default=0x00, Set HDMI_Rx1_Map address
     B0 F0  58 ; default=0x00, Set HDMI_Rx2_Map address

    Please provide your register configuration, Will check and let you know.

    This is my register configuration.

     

    ①select HDMI Splitter Mode (script file)

    ②set Tristate AP1_OUT_X (B0  9D  0D)

    ③set register map (B0  EC  68)

    ④set I2S out mode (EC  03  18)

    1) B0  9D  0D - Here you are tristating the pins "AP1_OUT[0], AP1_OUT[2], AP1_OUT[3]"

                           If so, How you are getting the I2S data in the pin "AP1_OUT port 0" ?

    4) You have configured the HDMI Rx1 map address in wrong way. Please configure as like below and let us know the result.

            -  B0 EC 68

            -  68 03 18

    Hi.

    1) I use ADV7625 Evaluation Board now.

    First I set the script file and selected HDMI Splitter Mode.

    Then I could confirm the waveform for AP1_OUT_port [0] on RA20 resistor in ADV7625

    Evaluation Board.

    But AP1_OUT_[0] is SPDIF0 on a datasheet.

    I could confirm the waveform for AP1_OUT_[1] on J10 connector in ADV7625 Evaluation

    Board using HDMI Splitter Mode.

  • Hi,

      Yes,As per Table18  we can configure the 'AP1_OUT_[0]' as SPDIF0 and I2S for remaining pins(AP1_OUT_[1]/AP1_OUT_[2]/AP1_OUT_[3]/AP1_OUT_[4]).

      Please note 'ADV7625' has 2 independent(AP0/AP1) 8-channel audio extraction ports So in each I2S pin we can carry 2 channel.

      Kindly let us know, In our evaluation board whether you can get the I2S data from AP1 Out[1-4] ?

    I could confirm I2S data for AP1_OUT_[1].

    But I couldn't confirm I2S data for AP1_OUT_[2]~[4].

       Here we have validated the 8 channel output from ADV7625 part, So the I2S data will be available in AP1_OUT_[1] ~ AP1_OUT_[4].
