ADV7611 to GS2972

Hi,

 ADV7612 will convert HDMI into a parallel bus video stream. 
 One of the Semtech SDI transmitter chips will convert the parallel bus video into a SDI stream.
 If you ignore audio, it makes everything simpler.
 There are 2 basic items that need to be defined
    1) What is the color space and bus format that the ADV7612 can output that the SDI transmitter chip can input.  They must match
    2) What is going to initialize both parts on power up and respond to format changes.

Please review Semtech GS2972 documentation to understand the SDI transmitter input requirements.

I have a design for HDMI convert to SDI output(ADV7611+GS2972),

But the GS2972 just accept 20bit or 10bit data input, Form the adv7611 datasheet, we can just see that the adv7611 output mode support SDR4:2:2(8bit/12bit/16bit/24bit) and SDR4:4:4(24bit); or DDR4:2:2(8bit/12bit) and DDR4:4:4(24bit); so how can I connect the ADV7611 with the GS2972 correctly to complete the HDMI to SDI function?

I am also done the schematic and board. there I connected ( P0 - P19) to ( D0-D19) in GS2972

  Expert suggested would be like "If you are using discrete sync signals, you can set the ADV7611for SDR 4:2:2 24-bit mode OP_FORMAT_SEL=0x8A and not connect the lower 2 bits on each bus

 or you can use ADV7612 for 20 bit output.

Please note that ADV7611, the possible outputs formats are listed in Table 73.  As stated  the 7611 can not output 20 bit 656 stream.  If you truly need 20 bit 656 streams from a receiver then you will have to use the ADV7612 which does implement OP_FORMAT_SEL = 0x81

Above pin mapping is fine, but we are not familiar with the GS2972 part.

The same feasibilty has been discussed here https://ez.analog.com/video/f/q-a/5618/hdmi-to-hd-sdi-conversion and also crosscheck your pin configuration in the shared thread.

Note: The only way to accomplish 10-bit data, 4:2:2 is use OP_FORMAT_SEL = 0x8A and ignore the lower 2 bits of the 12-bit channel.
