AD9945 Optical Black Clamp

Question

Hello; 
 
 AD9945 has an Optical Black Clamp function as describled in below but with very few information. Could you help provide more information on how to use this clamp level register to get the best system accuracy performance?

Hi, 
 This is an AFE part, which we haven't really handled on this forum. Could you please check with https://ez.analog.com/community/data_converters/high-speed_adcs . 
 As per expert comment "The clamp pin is a digital intput. Based on timing it should clamp only during the black input period to get a fixed black level. You can use the clamp pin if you want to manually control the clamping timing. else allow the chip to do through registers. You should include the 1k pull down resistor."
