(ADV7281A)Power down sequence

Hi !

I have a question about ADV7281A.

Our customer are designing their PCB for automotive.

They want to know the power down sequence.

At datasheet, this is written.

But I couldn't understand what is written.

Our customer want to power down 3.3V and 1.8V at same time.

Is it OK?

Our should they keep 3.3V > 1.8V always?

Best regards

Kawa

  • Even if you say you want to power down the device instantaneously, in reality there is still a fall time on the power rails.  As long as 3.3V rail is always greater than or approximately equal to the 1.8V rail, it is OK.

The situation where 3.3V rails drops much faster than the 1.8V can be remedied with a schokey diodes connected from 1.8 to 3.3.  In general this is not needed.
