Power: default current drawn by ADV7481

We have a development board with ADV7481. We see that once the board is powered up, even without ADV7481 driver loaded (Means no software programming done at all), it is drawing high current. Can someone please help understand the reason for this?

When we add the driver and probe ADV7481, we see that value is the default 0x33 in the "power down controls" IO register before we do anything. Do we need to explicitly power down ADV7481 to avoid the current being drawn? How to do this? Is there any other register to be written for this?

    Hi,

     Have you configured with reference script without software driver for verifying the high current?Please let us know

     Depending on the drive strength,we can able to know the level of current being employed in driving the output pads.
     Please refer section 2.7 in hardware manual which is available at ADV7481 Design Support Files 

     I beleive that is default value for power down controls,so we don't need to explicitly power down ADV7481 to avoid the current being drawn.
