ADV8005 - Application Video Walls

We'd like to use ADV8005 for video walls application.
Here is system structure:
1. One HDMI input (4K/2K@30Hz)
2. Two HDMI output to TV
3. To use two ADV8005 for 2x2 video walls.
Question:
1. Does ADV8005 HDMI input could be separated to two HDMI output port?
2. How to sync video output with two ADV8005 for 2x2 video walls
3. Is there script file for ADV8005 for video walls application

    Hi,

ADV8005 cannot support splitter mode i.e with one HDMI Rx input and two HDMI Tx outputs, But it can support PIP functionality.

ADV7625 supports a splitter mode of operation, which enables the video content on one input path to be simultaneously routed to two  HDMI Tx outputs. For example 4k × 2k at 30Hz video format with pseudo random test pattern applied to
one HDMI Rx input and output on both HDMI Tx outputs using splitter mode.

When using the ADV8003/ADV8005 evaluation boards, We recommend customer to use our software driver, not scripts.
Please refer here Download HPM software package for AD8005 evaluation board here.

Note: External sync locking mode is only needed for applications where the ADV8005/ADV8003 is required to lock its output timing to an externally provided source. Applications where the ADV8005/ADV8003 output is required to be locked to the input timing do not require this functionality. These applications (e.g. video wall) can use ‘phase locked frame track mode’ to achieve this functionality. The output will be locked within +/- 2xtal clocks after an initial lock time of 0 – 5 seconds.

    Thanks,

    Poornima
