Right now we are testing the ADV7181C on the EVAL-ADV7181CEBZ board. For that we are using the ADV Register Control program (Version 3.56) and the sample script version 3.2c.
Unfortunately the sample script does not offer the option RGB (as input) and 422 EAV/SAV (as output) using the color space converter.
Is there maybe a new version for the sample script that offers that? Or are there other resources we can use to test that?
Please find attached a script that you could use as a starting point. This script wasn't tested with the ADV7181C for the reasons I gave before. It is actually for the ADV7401, which has lots of similarities with the ADV7181C, and therefore most of the writes should remain the same. You should also use the RGB 1024x768 @ 60Hz to 12-Bit DDR out through HDMI script from the ADV7181C recommended scripts (version 3.2c) as a reference.
Thank you for your help. The script did get us started. As you sugested we used the script for the ADV7401 and the section for "RGB 1024x768 @ 60Hz to 12-Bit DDR out through HDMI" as a reverence and managed to get a picture. That's a good basis to work on.
We have also the same case for input and output in ADV7181C, i.e. XGA(1024x768) input @60Hz and YUV422 (16 bit) out.
We referred ADV7401.txt.zip for the CSC registers settings and RGB 1024x768 @ 60Hz to 12-Bit DDR out through HDMI script from the ADV7181C recommended scripts (version 3.2c) as a reference.
But when we are looking the output after color space conversion, we are seeing following problems :
1) There are changes in color. See Input1 & Output1, Input2 & Output2
2) If input contains text then text output is not clear. See Text_In1 & Text_Out1
1) Is it a CSC issue between ADV7401 & ADV7181C ? Please suggest changes.
2) Any other issue(s) ?
Please create new thread,Since it would be difficult for tracking. And crosscheck your CSC with below ADV7181C CSC configuration.
