As show in the picture, ADV7280-M output white image. (Light green is masking area)
Turning on and off was done 500 times and it occurred only 1 time, not every time.
What is the reason?
How can I observe it again?
Did you check the same in our evaluation board ?
Your configuration through the board either script or software driver?
Please crosscheck your configuration with reference script at https://ez.analog.com/video/w/documents/708/adv7280-adv7280-m-design-support-files
Hi. Thank you for reply.
I checked ADV7280-M again.
Very rarely (once in about 500 times), ADV7280-M outputs abnormal video. The input video is blue image (as shown in picture). But, in abnormal cases, the output video is yellow and white image.
It happens from the beginning of the action and lasts forever. I checked CAGC and its value is 10 (CAGC[1:0] = 10). It means ADV7280 runs in automatic gain mode. If CAGC[1:0] value sets 10, abnormal video modify and don’t last forever. Is it true? If so, why this phenomenon lasts forever?I suspect that CAGC[1:0] register value show 10(it means AGC is active), but because of unexpected reason, AGC is non-active. ←Is there a possibility?
Please give some advice. I want to know the reason of this phenomenon and if I can modify by sending command from PC (LINUX) in running.
Please refer following tables. I write out Use Sub Map’s value form ADV7280-M. The timing is after ADV7280-M reset timing and in running timing, in cases of normal and abnormal.
Please crosscheck your configuration with default one(i.e reference script). Some of the register value should follow the recommended value. This would be taken care in reference script.
And also cross verify your PCB layout and schematic with our eval.
Thank you, Poornima! After all, the error images disappeared by removing the command that sets ADV7280 into power-down mode (write 0x20 into power management register 0x0F).
I'm not sure why the error images disappear by doing above....
One last question. Please investigate that doing the reset after disable the power-down is must or not?
Of course, I read device manual document carefully, but not discussed about it.
