ADV7850 project questions

First to purchase the ADV7850 you will need to be and HDCP adopter, probably too costly for your project.  

I would recommend using a ADV7842-P and ADV7511 build similar to the EVAL-ADV7842-7511P board

It's a 2 chip solution but gets under the HDCP requirements.  

This design does not need the SDRAM if you are only using the CP path.  

Both parts can to deinterlacing.

Neither parts can do video scaling.

The ADV7850 requires DDR memory regardless of the operational mode.  The ADV7850 does not require DDR if you are not going to use 3D-Comb or TBC.

The ADV7850 only requires DDR if the SDP module is used and in this application CVBS is present.

oh thats great! ill look into using the 7842 and 7511. i looked in the datasheets and i didnt see the deinterlacing feature. is it under different wording?

The ADV7842 support interlaced to progressive conversion that allows 480i to 480p and 576i to 576p . For more details please refer section 7.18 in ADV7842 hardware user guide.
