ADV7441A and Tri-Level Sync

Hi,

I wish to use the ADV7441A as either a composite input or as a Genlock input on my board, however I can't see how set it up to accept a Tri Level sync pulse? The Tri-Level pulse input would drive the H, V, and F outputs in my design.

Any help most appreciated.

    Hello,

To start: I would strongly urge the use of ADV7842 if this is a new design. It's going to be much easier to get support on and you could try out your input signals with the eval board which is very easily (and cheaply) available for it. There are several threads up already on using tri-level syncs with ADV7842.

For ADV7441A, there is just a bit TRI_LEVEL to enable the sync slicer for tri level synchs. It's mentioned on page 44 of the hardware guide rev J.

  • Many thanks for the prompt response Dave.

I hadn't spotted this document in the design support files and was working from the datasheet only.
