ADV7510BSTZ-225 Vs ADV7510BSTZ-P

Good afternoon

Can you advise the difference between the following two part numbers ADV7510BSTZ-225 & ADV7510BSTZ-P

I can't see any reference on the datasheet

Are the the same part ?

They -P part has no HDCP keys, therefore it cannot decode encrypted video streams.

ADV7510 is on last buy status.  You should use the ADV7511 instead.

  • Thanks for the reply, This is for an older project so changing over isn't an option we were using the ADV7510BSTZ-225 and exhausted the stock and ADV7510BSTZ-P was suggested. So the ADV7510BSTZ-225 has HDCP keys and  ADV7510BSTZ-P doesn't. This is the only difference ?.  Is there any spec or datasheet for ADV7510BSTZ-P ?

  • 1) Here's a link to the design support files for the ADV7510  adv7510-design-support-files.

    2) The -P part is marked obsolete  Buy-ADV7510-P

    3) The -225 number shows up in the datasheet but I can't find the place to buy it.

    4) A PDN_14_0014 shows it's obsolete, PDN_14_0014, Show ADV7511KSTZ is pin-pin replacement part.

    5) Here's a note on the differences

    6) Did a quick search looking for parts around the world, Search-adv7510

The points above was for my research on what's going on with a 10+ year old part.  Basically it looks like it has been replaced by the ADV7511 which has a few more features that you don't need.

It appears the -225 was re-branded to -P in a few of the documents, very confusing.  You might be able to buy it at one of the sights in the search, just depends how many you want.

Looking over the differences pptx, you should be able to use the ADV7511.  At this point I am assuming you don't need HDCP.  Since all the register in the 7510 exist in the 7511 I am also assuming your configuration code for the 7510 will work for the 7511 although I have no experience with this.

You might have to put a few 7511s in your system and re-qual the system.

Not exactly the answer you wanted but I hope it helps.
