I want to use graphics modes (vga, xga, sxga, wxga, etc) with the 7341. I see the question was answered, but NO LINKS WERE GIVEN TO THE ANSWERS! One would think this would be information useful to many, so why is it not readily available? Are there registers setting for these modes? Can the 7341 be configured to slave itself to any input timing, assuming either the external syncs or embedded timing is used?
The ADV7341 is basically a hex-DAC with some input input logic to handle color space and format conversions. You control all the timing directly.
https://ez.analog.com/video/w/documents/802/adv734x-design-support-files has all the available script files however none deal with RGB to RGB directly.
Table 125 shows how to configure the chip for RGB in, RGB out over a 4:4:4 bus. The VESA modes you mentioned above follow the same scripting.
