AD8027 as 75R video line buffer: any experiences?

We use the AD8027 in some high speed applications. In a new design, we need a buffer for a analog video ( composite and/ or S-Video) output driving a 75R cable. We do not like to spend time in component evaluation and would prefer our standard part.

From the datasheet viewpoitn, this should work .

- Does anybody has experience with this combination?

- Could there occur any pitfalls?

Hi, Kellerman.

Good day! I think AD8027 is applicable to act as your video output buffer. I haven't tried it but as to my knowledge on video buffers, it must have a large full power bandwidth in which AD8027 has 190 MHz (good for your high speed application) and the gain must be between two and four in which AD8027 has 2 (NTSC). They also need to be able to supply sufficient current over the complete output voltage swing where AD8027 has 6-8 mA.
