Yes, I could see this issue on EVAL=ADV7842-7511.

I use 2 kind SCRIP.  SDR and DDR version.

Both verions have same issue.

It seems ADV7842-7511 has multi issues at 3D_Comb.

My system had random dots noise and Waving noise..

I modfied GND line more strong, then randum dots noise has gone.  but, waving noise still remain.

I can see same issues on EVAL-ADV7842-7511.

If you have the EVAL-ADV7842-7511, then you have the software (SW) driver. It is also known as the repeater software.

If you have EVAL-ADV7842-7511, this software starts automatically.

If you have EVAL-ADV7842-7511P, this software can be started by typing "startrep" at the command line.

I used AVESServer 1.03 115k and AVES2 2.04.36.

Are you menioning this Software?

Hi Bogey,

AVES is software that runs on Windows and allows you to read/write registers.

The software driver (also known as repeater software) runs on the Blackfin processor, uses RS232 for input/output, and configures the ADV7842/ADV7511 to accept a particular input (CVBS, S-Video, VGA, HDMI) and output over HDMI.

If you have EVAL-ADV7842-7511, this software starts automatically.

If you have EVAL-ADV7842-7511P, this software can be started by typing "startrep" at the command line.

Just use RS232 communications program like Teraterm and watch RS232 output after power-up. Make sure AVES software is closed. Only one program can access RS232 port at a time.

I used Hyperterminal for monitoring.

I can see Garbled characters.

Defoult setting are

2400 bps

8 bit data

Non Parity

Stop bit=1

Hardware flow control

How can I fix?
