Can CSC be performed on the ADV7184??
The ADV7184 only supports Colour Space Conversion (CSC) when using a SCART RGB input format.
CSC is not supported when decoding other video formats.
Only automatic CSC mode is supported.
The manual mode enable (FB_CSC_MAN, Address 0xEE [7]) will be removed from the next revision of the hardware manual.
Question was related to ADV7184.
Customer uses RGB inputs from SCART, then can I have CSC instructions?
Are you using a SCART RGB input when the issue occurs?
The Standard Definition Processor (SDP) in the ADV7184 processes video data in YCrCb format.
RGB mode video input is only supported for SCART where the timing is taken from the SCART CVBS signal.
For SCART RGB video is automatically converted to YCrCb before sending to the SD Processor.
If you are using a non SCART RGB mode we recommend using the ADV7401. The ADV7401 and ADV7184 are not pin compatible.
When I use the composite input, everything works fine, but when I want to use th RGB input, the output is very faded and I have a large "blue" component. Any help? Thanks.
I'm using a scart RGB, with sync signal on CVBS.
i've solved the problem changing the input resistors and setting the gain registers, maybe my pcb have a higher impedance.
thanks
OK, thanks for let me know you sorted it.
