Hello
In a system I care for there is the ADV7321 Encoder at its end (and the ADV7188 at its front) .
Problem is that this system can accept two video sources that the operator selects at the Decoder which of them will reach the DSP for process.
Problem is that the switching between the two channels takes about a second and when pictures resumes at the monnitor (with the second channel video)
it appears with a half screen scroll (parts of two consecutive frames at the same time) etc.
We put a "Time Base Corrector" box before the monitor and it solved the problem but this is not a practical solution.
Can I force the Encoder to generate a "dummy" video signal with the Sync pulse even if there is no data at its digital input bus?
Can I force the Encoder to use its Sync pin input for its output Sync pulse instead of the Sync encoded in the digital input data bus?
Any other ideas to solve this scrolling only by initialization commands to the Encoder or the Decoder?
I will appreciate a prompt answer
Thanks
Amnon
