ADV7513 use non CEA-861 video resolution

I want to transmit non CEA-861 resolution for example 1024x768 via the adv7513, but I get no picture on the monitor. When I use a resolution, which is a CEA-861  resolution 640x480 I get a picture.

I get the video information (EDID data ) from the monitor and set my video controller with this data.  The controller generate Hsync, Vsync, and Data Enable, so the adv7513 doesn't generate this signals.

Now, my question.

How do I configure the adv7513 to transmit non CEA-861 video formats?

The ADV7513 will transmit what it sees on it's input port, regardless of the timing.  1024x768 is a VESA standard.

    1) Does the monitor even handle 1024x768?  Depending on the monitor, it may only support a minimal sub-set of the VESA standards.

    2) Check the generated pixel clock, H & V sync with a scope to see if it matches the standard.
