Phase Adjust effect all three channels simultaneously, therefore it can't be used to correct different arrival time of the video channels.
The only thing left to make sure is that the arrival time of the RGB signals to the chip are at the same time. To check have the source generate a vertical stripped black and white image. Then with a scope, look at R & G pins directly on the chip. The edges should match, no phase shift.

Didn't Understand what you mean. We are using ADV7280-M CSI interface, and there is no way to test RGB signal. The same problem exists in the test using CVBS signal source.,How to adjust the start HS position pixel and HS end pixel,
We have done comparative verification on the data problem output after adv7280-m roll-out of that problem,
and the color bar display is normal.
Using HS Position Control register,we can able to positioning of the HSYNC output within the video line.Please refer Page78 in ADV728x hardware manual which is available at ez.analog.com/.../adv7280-adv7280-m-design-support-files
Sorry for confusion,Above explanation i have said only for example.
Set ox34 ,0x35,0x36 ,These registers don't optimize black edge problems.
However, we found that the left and right black edges are actually the data of the camera, but the background of the black edge is dark, So the data of the camera is not obvious in blank edge.
Try toggling Polarity(0x37)register bit, see if the black edge goes away.

The AV codes can be manually adjusted horizontally and vertically based on the controls in registers 0x34 to 0x37 and 0xE5 to 0xEA when NEWAVMODE (Reg 0x31) is set to 1. Please refer to section 8.15 of the datasheet manual for details.
