We want to sample a few SHARC BGA 21469 chips, can we order them as samples.. what is the requirements? please help.We are not interested in local distributors they charging double the price.
I can't speak for ADI. I would suggest you consider that implementing a small number of 21469 chips is going to cost a lot more than the price of the devices. If we assume you want the DDR2 as well, you are going to need to fabricate at least an 8 layer PCB with appropriate signal integrity. If you don't need the RAM, the ADSP-21489 would be easier.
This could be a 4 layer board.
You may find Danville's dspblok family useful for your project. You may not like the price, but it will actually cost a lot less when you consider board costs and time. They also work, which is always a risk with a new design.
Obviously, an EZ Kit is a great value as well, if it fits your needs.
Thanks for the help I do appreciate the suggestion. however I'm interested in building my own DSP board using the 21469 chip for R&D purposes. 8 layers is very steep, a 4 layer PCB board will work as well.
I hope AD gets back to me.
Anyone from AD here ?
Can you see this link, http://www.analog.com/en/support/customer-service-resources/sales/sample-products.html
Our company was very disappointed in the response from the sample group for the request we put in, firstly we made significant effort to state our case for the sample request but was blatantly turned down, I have no idea why sample requests for companies are turned down this way.
I have requested a representative from the ti DSP group to get in touch with us as a result of the inconsiderate response we got.
Jithul thank you for attempting to help, its appreciated.
