Is the power level specifications of ADRF5130 is for hot switching?
The recommended/absolute maximum input power ratings are specified for through seleted path but same power levels can also be applied for hot switching operation as ADRF5130 does not include 50ohm termination resistors on RF1/RF2 (which normally limit power handling during switching between paths).
I read your answer (since I had the same question regarding hot switching of the ADRF5130) but am confused since the datasheet says RF1/RF2 ARE terminated in 50 ohm loads when they're off (see attached snip of the datasheet). Is the
answer to the hot switching still the same? Or am I misunderstanding something?
ADRF5130 is a reflective type switch (see the datasheet caption) which does not use 50ohm termination resistors on RFx ports. The part will handle the same power levels at hot switching operation.
We will update the datasheet to remove the wrong statement that you pointed out.
