I am developing an application which uses the AD9517 PLL. The reference frequency should accommodate a range of 0.5 to 100Mhz. As input interfacing standard, we can still choose, as long as it is differential (LVDS, CML, LVPECL[2.5V or 3.3V])
Since the lower boundary is below 1Mhz, DC coupling is suggested in the datasheet. The datasheet states that for DC coupling the voltages need to be matched to the self-biasing voltages of the REFIN inputs. This is the part that is confusing. Which standards can the REFIN differential accommodate with DC coupling, how should these be matched and terminated?
