I will use AD7124 with 4ch.
It's expected to establish the separate gain every ch.
Would gain change time also be included by the dead time of following contents of a letter?
The dead time is an additional time in the first conversion when switching channels only. It is not included when changing gain. However, there's an extra time upon writing to register which depends on your SCLK every time you change the gain and before you start conversion again. May I know if you are going to change the gain each time you change the channel? or you are going to change the gain for only one channel and get measurements for each gain?
Thank you for your answer.
I am going to change the gain each time i change the channel.
ex) ch1 gain 8
ch2 gain 128
ch3 gain 8
ch4 gain 32
AD7124 has eight configurations or setups. Each configuration consists of gain, filter type, output data rate, buffering, and reference source. So you can use 4 different configuration setup for your 4 channels, so you don't need to change the gain setup every time you change the channel. It also has automatic sequencer in which it converts all enabled channels sequentially so again you don't need to put a command to change channel.
