If we pulse the reset low on the ADIS16480 will this automatically reset the RTC?
Thank you for your post. I do not believe so, but I will see what I can find out and post another response to share what I find out.
Have you found out anything about ADIS16480 internal time when reset line is pulsed low? And also we are having problems with 16480 keeping time when main power is terminated and we are running on 3.6V battery? We have tried with and without calendar turned on?
Sorry I didn't get back to you on this. I do not see where this has been tested, but I might be able to set this up and try it myself. This will probably need to be early next week, as my time has already been committed for the next few days.
Mark.....have you had any luck in trying to evaluate why the RTC is not holding the proper time when VDD is removed?
Very sorry about the delay on this! We are extremely busy, but you have been waiting a long time for us to validate this for you. Fortunately, my schedule is freeing up a lot more after today, as we have just completed several major tasks. I will set this up when I return to the office in the morning and will provide daily updates until I have this done (hopefully we can finish this tomorrow).
Thank you Mark, the most critical problem we are having is the IMU losing time when VDD is removed/interrupted. I believe that we can take care of the Reset line with the firmware.
We have a problem now with the fixtures we have leaking now and destroying our ADIS16480. If we fill the cans with mineral oil to displace the air, will it effect the IMU?
