Kindly suggest a PAL decoder IC which can process two PAL and one HDMI input simultaneously.Also suggest an encoder which can give a PAL and HDMI output in parallel.Consider 16 bit resolution for both encoders and decoders.ThanksBivin George
We do not have a single chip which can decode 2 CVBS inputs and 1 HDMI input at the same time. Devices like the ADV7842 can handle all these inputs however only one video path can be fully active at any time.
Will ADV7482 be capable of processing 1 HDMI and 1 PAL input simultaneously, kindly confirm. Is there any encoders to generate 1 HDMI and 1 PAL output simultaneously.
The ADV7842 can only process one video stream at a time. It has multiple inputs which it can select from.
Basically each active stream will take one active chip. Some chips like the ADV7842 allow video muxing of the input source to be processed.
Suggest a technique to use a single video processor IC for two video inputs (like two PAL or one PAL and one HDMI) and to receive it at FPGA simultaneously.

Connect 2 pal sources plus 1 HDMI source to an ADV7842 and connect the output bus to the FPGA,
Connect 2 pal sources to a ADV7181D and connect the output bus to the FPGA.
There are any number of ways to figure a system where you need 2 out of 3 sources
Another way is to use one ADV7612 and 2 ADV7181D and connect each of the bus outputs to FPGA. qould require 3 digital bus connections.
But all above techniques use atleast two IC to handle two PAL or one PAL one HDMI inputs.
In ADV7482 two MIPI outputs are shown and you said ADV7842 can only process one video stream at a time. Kindly advise how to choose MIPI output since one only supports AIN (one differential channel and one differential clock) but first MIPI being supporting all inputs ((four differential channel and one differential clock)).
