Uboot updates in Linux Addin 1.2.0 Release (build configuration: -mproc)

Hi,

I am using Linux Addin 1.2.0 release with SC589 EZkit.

I was comparing Uboot 1.1.0 & 1.2.0 and I see that there is a change in file:
arch/arm/cpu/armv7/sc58x/config.mk

The following code lines were added:

# Select the Analog Devices processor.
ifeq ($(CONFIG_TARGET_SC589_EZKIT),y)
PLATFORM_RELFLAGS += -mproc=ADSP-SC589
else
ifeq ($(CONFIG_TARGET_SC584_EZKIT),y)
PLATFORM_RELFLAGS += -mproc=ADSP-SC584
endif
endif

The '-mproc' appears as CFLAG when building UBoot and is also used by the ldr binary to generate uboot.ldr.

I have the following queries:
1) Why is this mproc required ? (This was added in 1.2.0 release)
2) If this mproc flag is omitted then what is exactly affected? (source code building or ldr file generation or something else?)

Any inputs will be of help!

Regards, Pj
