(ADV7611)Register setting

Hi !

 

I am checking my customer register setting which is using ADV7611 with 16bit output.

And I have some question about register setting

 

Q1)

They are not using "98 FF 80 ; I2C reset" .

I am checking it now but if our customer are using hardware reset, would it be OK?

I think it is OK if they are using hardware reset.

Reset of ADV7611. 

 

Q2)

The ADI eval board script is setting map address.

And also my customer sets this but the order is different

* left side=> ADI script,    right side=> customers script

Would it cause any problem?

 

Q3)

At RSD, it says to set these when the user use the non-fast switching.

Does this means if our customer don't have to use this when they don't want to use non-fast switching?

 

Q4)

ADI scripts sets "98 0B 44 ; Power up part".

But our customer don't use this.

I checked this at the software manual.

0x0B's default value is 0x44.

The value is default so I didn't understand why ADI's script sets "98 0B 44 ; Power up part".

If our customer don't set this , would it cause some problem?

 

Q5)

They sets "98 0C 42 ; Power up part" before setting video standard register.

But ADI script sets "98 0C 42 ; Power up part" after setting video standard.

Would it cause any problem if our customer sets "98 0C 42 ; Power up part" before setting video standard?

 

Q6)
EVAL board script sets "98 15 80 ; Disable Tristate of Pins" .

But at the software manual, 0x15[7:5]'s information is not OPEN.

And at software manual, 0x15[5] is 1'b1.

But the eval board change this bit 1 to 0.

Why does the script change this bit?

If our customer don't change this bit , would it cause any problem?

 


Q7)

ADV7612 has "BG_MEAS_PORT_SEL[1:0]".

But ADV7611 don't have this register.

What will happen if our customer sets "BG_MEAS_PORT_SEL[1:0]" to PortB ?

Would it cause any problem?

 

Q8)

ADV7612's script sets "68 75 10 ; DDC drive strength".

But there is no information at the ADV7612 software manual.

What will happen if our customer sets "68 75 10" to ADV7611?

Would it cause any problem?
