I have a question about ADuCM322i.#1, Looking at ABSOLUTE MAXIMUM RATINGS Table 9, It says that "Any I Type Ball to GND 2 ?0.3 V to IOVDDx + 0.3 V ". What is" Any I Type Ball ?
You are correct that "I" and "I/O" types are Digital inputs (Table 10 Rev. 0 Page 15-19). Also, it is okay to force voltage to those pins before IOVDD power up because by default, they are configured as Inputs. Thanks!
The meaning of "Any I type Ball" from Table 9 means that the Pin Function Description (Rev. 0 Page 15-19) of ADuCM322i Datasheet with the Type "I" has a corresponding rating of "0.3 V to IOVDDx + 0.3 V". From the Datasheet, the Pins that has an "I" type are Reset, Serial Wire Clock(SWCLK) and Crystal Oscillator(XTAL1). "I/O" type have the same rating as that of the "I" type. Thanks!
Thanks for your quick reply.
Let me double check.
"I" type means "Digital input" and includes "I/O" type.
Is that right?
Some customer think that it's okay to add a signal before IOVDD power up.
Because Table9 says that "Any Ball to GND −0.3 V to +3.9 V" and it's a bit tricky to read.
Thanks for your reply.
I will let customers know that I/O pins are treated as Any I type pins .
