How to connect Plutosdr in matlab
There are two support packages available for Pluto:
1 . Official support package from MathWorks: Install Support Package for Analog Devices ADALM-PLUTO Radio - MATLAB & Simulink
2. A support package maintained by ADI: ADALM-PLUTO for End Users [Analog Devices Wiki]
During the Guided Host-Radio Hardware Setup Something went wrong and now the sdr doesn't get detected. Now the drive is missing which contain the config file. And how to setup the config file, assigning the IP address.
If you unplug then plug Pluto back in the drive should appear with the config file.
I did the same but no response. The ready Led indicator is not blinking.
The Ready LED is not supposed to blink.
If it is constantly ON - the FPGA is properly configured (DONE).
Does the LED1 blink?
If you go to the Device Manager - Do you see PlutoSDR DFU?

Sorry for the delay, I was out of station. The LED 1 is ON and not blinking and the READY LED is OFF. The device is not listed in the device manager>USB. Am using windows 7 is there any issue based on the OS?
What version of the drivers is installed. When the matlab package is enstalled it can backlevel your drivers. Try reinstalling the drivers from the latest version and see if the connection reapears?

Version .7. In matlab when I do the "hardware setup>Configure" error dialog box pop up "USB connection to radio failed Click back and reinstall the USB driver".
Sadly if you do that the version of drivers it will install is V0.6!
Try with Matlab shutdown and the pluto disconnected reinstall manually the latest V0.7 from the Analog web site. Note very carefully that the file name of the install files is the same for all levels of the driver, make very sure you have v0.7
Then open matlab and repeat the install of the Matlab package. Do not let it install the drivers.
If you get the failure to connect do not go back to reinstall drivers. Unplug and re-plug the USB to the pluto, retry the test after waiting for the driver to connect, then if you are lucky it will work.
The trick is unplug and replug the pluto before trying the test again. (Note that a driver install with the unit plugged in normally fails). Replugging resets the environment and the state of the pluto.
Good luck I have succeeded on Windows 10 (not tried Windows 7) but it is painful as matlab will by default backlevel the drivers. Also any issues can corrupt the pluto internal environment. These will all go away as the pluto internal environment is reinstated on power on.
In regards to the Windows version, is this a 32-bit or 64-bit install?
Ok, will recheck the same. OS is 64bit. how can I reprogram the pluto sdr back to default state
If you to want undo the extended bandwidth modification the MathWorks HSP does, on Pluto run:
# fw_setenv attr_name# fw_setenv attr_val# pluto_reboot reset
If these variables are mangled during the install process they basically make all your radio devices disappear. However, just updating them as above can fix this issue.
These variables can be set after sdr login using username and password. I think IP address wrongly configured in the Config.txt had created this issue. Now the sdr is not detected. i tried in ubuntu 16.04 and plugged in the sdr and checked the diagnostic messages but usb is not listed in it, in windows Os also the usb is not listed in the list. Sdr need to be reprogrammed/reset to default state to solve the issue.
If the device doesn't appear as mass storage and LED 1 is solid (not blinking) you are probably stuck in DFU mode.
Do you receive anything from "Analog Devices Inc" in dmesg when you plug in Pluto on your linux box? lsusb should register something too.
Exactly, LED 1 is solid and doesnt appear as mass storage, in linux i dont find any device listed in dmesg/lsusb
