Will this driver work on my board or with the SoCs or CPU architecture I'm using?
Generally, yes. We write our drivers to be platform independent. Most drivers use either I2C or SPI as their communication protocol. So If your host system supports Linux and there is a I2C or SPI host driver your platform our drivers should work.
If your system has no host I2C or SPI driver you might be able to the use the i2c-gpio or spi-gpio driver, which use gpio bit-banging to generate the expected waveforms.
