[ADV7180] Details of the condition (threshold) of the LOST_LOCK and IN_LOCK bits.

Hello,

 

I have questions about the details of lock conditions of ADV7180.

I think my questions are related to followings:

I think we should use the LOST_LOCK and IN_LOCK bits to determine if the decoder has locked or lost lock.
We want to know the details of the condition (threshold) of the LOST_LOCK and IN_LOCK bits.

 

Question 1:
About "unlock to lock", could you tell us the details (threshold) of the conditions?
For example,
 - How much depth (voltage) of horizontal sync is required for IN_LOCK?
 - Is the color subcarrier frequency related to IN_LOCK and LOST_LOCK?
 - Also, is the field rate related to IN_LOCK and LOST_LOCK?
 - Are there any other required conditions for IN_LOCK and LOST_LOCK?

 

Question 2:
About "lock to unlock", could you tell us the details (threshold) of the conditions?
For example,
 - How much depth (voltage) of horizontal sync is required for LOST_LOCK?
 - Are they same to the conditions of "unlock to lock"?

 

Background of these questions:
 Our customer tries to use ADV7180 for their automotive system.
 They will have to know how input video gets lock and how input video gets unlock.
 They will have to make fail-safe S/W based on the information, and they will have to report them to the OEM in the future.
