Typical fail rate for ADIS 16460 Burst Read

I'm setting up a continuous data logger using an ADIS 16460 and I'm experiencing a %30 failure rate on burst mode reads. Failure being defined as the checksum value not lining up with what it should be. I'm wondering if this is typical and if there is any level of acceptable tolerance on the checksum difference. Since it's adding up upper bytes and lower bytes with equal weighting it seems like a small error in checksum could result in a sizable error in the output data.

It does not seem to be affected by the rate of continuous burst reads, I've tried putting millisecond delays between instances of burst read and experienced the same fail rate.

Edit: reduced failure rate to %0.02 by changing SCLK from 200Khz to 1MHz. No problem anymore
