Hi !

I have some question about ADV device which have analog input.

I know that if there is no analog input when user set up the register, device will move by free run mode.

And if there are some analog input when user set up the register, device will lock and output the digital data.

I already asked how these device detect analog input and detect the standard at this discussion.

(ADV7180/ADV7181D/ADV728x/ADV748x)How do you detect which standard is input?

But I have few more questions.

Q1)

As I wrote, if there is no analog input when user set up the register, device will move by free run mode.

When this happens , I think the sequence inside the device will be this.

    1)Power supply

    2)Register setting

    3)Detect there is no input

    4)Move with free run mode

5)Output LLC made from xtal and frequency will be same as some kind of video standard.

Is this correct?

Q2)

As I wrote,  if there are some analog input when user set up the register, device will lock and output the digital data.

When this happens , I think the sequence inside the device will be this.

    1)Power supply

    2)Register setting

    3)Detect there is analog input

    4)Lock the analog video input

5)Output LLC made from xtal and frequency and synchronize with analog input.

Is this correct?

The points what I want to know is,

I want to understand how these devices make LLC when there is analog input or no inputs.

Best regards

Kawa
