We are evaluating ADN8833 but we found the Vcont drift 0.4V when we disable the IC but the PWM signal still maintain the same value, is this scenario normal??
As i studied the datasheet, the voltage will drift only when temperature changes.
When the IC is disabled the part doesn't function and the driver stage stop controlling the load. It makes sense Vcont changes.
Yes, the voltage will drift but the drift is quite big. So may i know how to predict the drift of Vcont?
When ADN8833 is disabled, there's no current going through the TEC to maintain the current. The TEC temperature will drift with the heat load you have in the system. The drift will be fed into the microcontroller and cause the CONT to drift too if the microcontroller is sill functioning. As the thermal loop is already broken CONT may eventually saturate. The drift is irrelevant to the ADN8833 since it is disabled.
thanks a lot. it explain clearly.
