Selfboot with ADAU1761?

Question asked by PDa on Oct 17, 2011

Hi

I have planned to use the ADAU1761 with two MEMS microphones as a "front-end" to a sensor node. By implementing the "detect and conditioning algorithm" on the ADAU1761, the load on the microcontroller on the sensor node can be significantly reduced. However, from what I understand, the ADAU1761 does not have a self-boot function, which is a major drawback for my application.

Is it possible to make "simple" a self-boot cirucit based on an external EEPROM +++? The easiest would maybe to go for ADAU1701 or ADAU1702, which have a self-boot capability. The drawback is the the power consumtion of this circuits.

Best regards,
