Tunable Bandwidth: Analog or Digital?

I'm evaluating the AD9364/1 chips for my application. My specific question is about the tuneable channel bandwidth, which the datasheets write is up to 56 MHz. I need to reduce thermal noise, which goes up with the analog bandwidth. Question: when I tune the chip to 10 MHz (for example), is it an analog filter before the AGC that limits the RF bandwidth, or a digital filter? Meaning, do I get reduced thermal noise due to the fact I limited the bandwidth?
