Interfacing the Ad9265 board (or any other high speed ADC board) via Matlab or C

Hello all,

 

I'm kind of new in this field, so I would really appreciate any help you can give me!

 

I'm using an AD9265 board connected to a HSC-ADC-EVALCZ board in order to measure a signal. I have already done that using VisualAnalog and it worked fine. However, I wanted to automatize the process and, to do that, I wanted to program it with C or Matlab.

 

First question: is data acquisition possible with Matlab for the board AD9265 (or other similar boards)?

 

Assuming this was not the case, I downloaded the program SPIController. With it, I was able to select my board ID (AD9265), the desired clock division, etc, and to generate a script with the corresponding C code. However, I have some questions concerning this code. For instance, there is nothing in it concerning the number of sampling points or the measurement time. How is this done? How can I perform different consecutive measurements?
