I am noticing with the HMC7043 eval board the following behavior:
* configure a channel (e.g. channel 3) for pulse mode (start up mode dynamic, LVPECL output, mute selection logic 0, dynamic output buffer disabled)
* enable the channel
* observe the channel output (n and p differential pair) on a scope (p is 1.36 V, n is 2.17 V)
* disable the channel
* n voltage goes to 0, p voltage goes to 0
If I repeat this with the channel in LVDS mode instead of LVPECL mode, the n and p signals both remain at 0 V regardless of whether I enable or disable the channel.
Can you explain the difference in behavior between the two modes?
