ADV7511W Reading from EDID memory

It is stated in ADV7511W Programming Guide that EDID data from sink is stored in EDID memory which has slave address 0x7E. Also they say that

EDID block 0 byte number 0x7E tells how many additional EDID blocks are available

, do they mean block = byte? If I read that first byte from slave address 0x7E register 0x00 and it tells me how many additional blocks exist, all I need is to go forward with addresses from 0x01 to (number of additinal block) to read them?  If I am not right, correct me.
