Thank you for your question. The selection of a set of probes for EMC/EMI debug can be very dependent on the type of issue you are trying to debug. The actually EMC issue and frequency range of interest will in the end decide the type of probe and the frequency range of the probe.
Is there any particular EMC event or EMI event you are trying to debug? Is it an Analog Devices part you are working with?
The following probes would be a good starting point for a reasonable cost. They cover a broad range of applications. We have used them here in Analog Devices for debugging issues.
This set contains 4 probes. It contains 3 loop probes that are used for magnetic fields. One of three probes is selected depending on the frequency range of interest, the fourth probe is used for measuring electric fields.
The probes are calibrated up to 3 GHz and can be connected to a spectrum analyzer or oscilloscope using a SMB to SMA cable.
These probes can be used to identify "hot spots" on the PCB, and possible sources of far field emissions.
