IIO-Scope spectrum analyser error

Branched from an earlier discussion

I get the following when running iio-oscilloscope (Release 0.7, or master branch) on Ubuntu 14.04

When using the Spectrum Analyser tab "Start Sweep" button causes the following:

a write to in_out_voltage_filter_fir_en failed in setup_before_sweep_start. Unknown error -2

However the capture window can be used in both time and frequency domain, and DMM / control functionality seems to work ok. It can talk to the hardware.

iio-oscilloscope Spectrum Analyser does however seem to work if run on the Picozed SDR platform itself, rather than remotely on Ubuntu.

I do get various messages on the broken system, which may or may not be a clue:

(osc:25870): Gtk-WARNING **: Could not load image 'ADIlogo.png': Failed to open file '/home/user/user_work/picozed_sdr/ad_linux/iio-oscilloscope-0.7-master/ADIlogo.png': No such file or directory

(osc:25870): Gdk-CRITICAL **: gdk_window_move_resize_internal: assertion 'GDK_IS_WINDOW (window)' failed

(osc:25870): Gdk-CRITICAL **: _gdk_pixmap_new: assertion '(drawable != NULL) || (depth != -1)' failed

Any ideas / pointers appreciated.
