PicoZed SDR - Host Radio Hardware setup Issues

Hello,

I am having issues connecting to the PicoZed SDR development kit hardware via the Ethernet connection.

I have the latest version of Matlab R2017a as well as the Communications System Toolbox Support Package for Xilinx Zynq-Based Radio.

 

Here are the steps that I have taken:

  1. Loaded the default software on the SD card.
  2. Connected the PicoZed SDR development board to the internet and updated the ADI tools( twice, back-to-back, in case the script was also updated). Updated the ADI binaries.
  3. Then followed the steps for the “Manual Host-Radio Hardware Setup”

- Note: I was able to ping 192.168.3.2 successfully prior to running the matlab (info(dev) command){see below}

 

Here is the Matlab command log:

   Properties:

Warning: The SDR packet size (1500 Bytes) is larger than the FastSendDatagramThreshold registry value (1024 Bytes).

This will significantly decrease the transmit performance of the SDR application.

Warning: There was no response from the hardware.

 - Ensure the host and hardware are physically connected via GigE.

 - Ensure the host NIC is configured properly.

 - Check that the IPAddress of the hardware is specified correctly.

 Run launchSetupWizard to set up the host and the SDR device for

 proper communication or see the documentation for additional

 diagnostic information.

I made the observation that I receive the same error message if I was not able to establish communications to the device. I figured if I was able to ping it, it should be ok. Also, I performed this setup successfully a couple of month's ago with Matlab version R2016b. After receiving these errors, I have since tried re-using version R2016b and I am getting the same error as in the R2017a version shown above.
