I just received my ADALM1000 and I can't get it to recognize the USB. I'm running Win7 32 bit and it shows in other devices in the device manger. And it says no driver I tried to update the driver and it still doesn't work. Any suggestions
This question would have been better posted to the Virtual Classroom section where more of the ADALM1000 software experts might see it. I can't move it there.
In the mean time, a few questions.
Did you install and use Zadig to install the WinUSB driver before first plugging in the ALM1000?
Or did you install the Pixelpulse2 application ( which I think optionally installs the driver ) before plugging in the ALM1000?
This question on EZ might help: ADALM1000 Windows 7 cant be seen
You can Search for and download the latest version of Zadig for Win 7 32 bits on the web.
The Github link is: Zadig · pbatard/libwdi Wiki · GitHub
At any rate you probably need to clear out any driver that might have been loaded and reinstall ( with Zadig ) before plugging in the ALM1000 again. With the right driver installed it should appear in the device manager as ADALM1000 from Analog Devices.
I tried your Zadig and it still doesn't work. Pixiepulse doesn't show any

Can you also try to manually update the driver using: libsmu/dist at master · analogdevicesinc/libsmu · GitHub ?
Thanks for the input but none of these suggestions work. This is a poor example of a product from a large IC company. I can buy a $6 usb to RS232 adapter from Amazon that comes with a CD driver and it works right out of the box.
