Yes, they really can be 15-20% max either way.
Instead of adding two resistors in series w/ the inputs, why not a two resistor divider on the output?
If you are going to the input of a comparator, that would work.
Or you could get an op amp and add a resistor array. I went to digikey.com and they have two,
five, and seven as ratios, but not six. Sorry.
They are thin film resistors, and could be +/-20%. We laser trim for ratio matching
to +/-0.024% max. Even if we could tell you the exact value, if you want to add external
resistors to change the gain, the tempco would not match the internal resistors.
What are you trying to do?
That is what I though, I am reviewing a design form a junior engineer and they used external 10k resistors to change the gain from 1/5 to 1/6. As you said this will not work.
What is the worse case tolerance on those 50k resistors? I will mostly likely have to change the the design.
It is mostly being used for trigger detection since we are only looking at 1 level we might be ok, I have to do some calculations.
