As we know,Dual mode DisplayPort Source Device can transmit either orignal DisplayPort signal nor TMDS like signal , In VESA DisplayPort Interoperability Guideline, Functional definition of a cable adaptor that has a DisplayPort connector on one end and either a DVI or HDMI Type A/Type C connector on the other.
I have a question about following two cable adaptor implementation specified in VESA DisplayPort Interoperability Guideline
Q1.What's the different from the following implementation, and why the second do not use level shifter between HDMI/DVI end and DisplayPort end.
Q2.What's the meaning of “Reverse Plug”
A Dual-mode Source with a Source-side Cable Adaptor
Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.
